Jessica Maier LL. M. is a gaming attorney with experience in intellectual property and competition law and is a member of the Gaming and Betting Law Practice Group at MELCHERS law firm in Heidelberg, Germany. She advises English and German speaking clients on all aspects of gaming and betting regulation, licensing requirements and legal developments in the field. She plays a part in due diligence reviews, acts as speaker at conferences, regularly contributes to gaming and betting law publications.
Dr Matthias Spitz is a senior partner with the German law firm MELCHERS and specialises in gaming law, with a focus on administrative matters and European law. He is a general member of the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL). His areas of practice cover regulation of sports betting, land-based and online casino gaming, as well as social gaming. He has been involved in all relevant licensing processes in Germany on behalf of major gambling companies in recent years, including the Schleswig-Holstein licensure and the sports-betting licensing process under the Interstate Treaty on Gambling.
