Following calls for the reform process of the Irish gambling market to be sped up at an increased intensity, David Stanton, state minister for justice, in March 2019, promised the creation of a dedicated gambling regulator in the coming years. Amendments to the current gambling law are also ongoing and are expected to be an interim measure; however, a full reform of the gambling industry does not have a clear timeline as of yet.
