In August 2019, the Iowa Department of Public Health (IDPH) published a report examining gambling prevalence in Iowa. The report, entitled “Gambling Attitudes and Behaviors: A 2018 Survey of Adult Iowans” was prepared by the University of Northern Iowa Center for Social and Behavioral Research.
Since 2011, the IDPH Has funded surveys of public attitudes and behaviors toward gambling. According to the IDPH, the primary purpose of these surveys is to collect data from adult Iowans who are 18 and older to assess:
