Finland: 4th AMLD Implementation — Draft Law

On December 19, 2014, the Ministry of Finance of Finland appointed a working group to prepare a bill for the implementation of the 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (4th AMLD).   

In December 2015, the working group published its final report which proposes new legislation which would seek to strengthen the powers of supervisory authorities and subject virtual currency businesses to the anti-money laundering/counter-terrorism financing (AML/CTF) framework.
