UK Regulators Consult On E-Sports And Virtual Currencies

The UK Gambling Commission has launched a consultation on the regulation of virtual currencies, e-sports and social gaming after warning that new developments were raising “real issues”.
The Gambling Commission has published a discussion paper saying that it was concerned about protecting children and vulnerable people and wider regulatory concerns.
The commission highlighted a number of developments that have triggered the need for additional consideration.
