The chairman of the Ohio legislature’s gaming committee has asked the state’s attorney general to weigh in on the legality of daily fantasy sports (DFS) for a report that he is preparing on the oversight of the Buckeye State’s gambling industry.
Before the end of the year, Senator Bill Coley plans to release a report to the Ohio General Assembly with his recommendations on a number of gaming matters, including daily fantasy sports, sports betting and a possible consolidation of the state’s four gambling oversight bodies.
“My report will be on the status of gaming in the state of Ohio and we will have a section on the issue of daily fantasy sports leagues,” Coley told GamblingCompliance.
