Daily fantasy sports (DFS) companies, including DraftKings and FanDuel, will soon begin to offer paid fantasy sports contests to New York players after Governor Andrew Cuomo signed a bill into law Wednesday that legalizes the industry.
New York Senate Bill 8513 creates a regulatory framework for “interactive fantasy sports” operators and gives the state Gaming Commission the power to regulate the industry.
