iGaming Brand Beef Flares Up In Pennsylvania

Penn National Gaming told GamblingCompliance this week that Pennsylvania should require casinos there to operate internet gambling under their own brands only, a proposal that PokerStars and others have challenged.

Eric Schippers, senior vice president of governmental relations at Pennsylvania-headquartered casino operator Penn National, on Wednesday said that Pennsylvania should not allow out-of-state online operators to offer branded skins through partnerships with local casinos.

Out-of-state online operators “are pushing for unlimited skins to allow them to come in and poach Pennsylvania’s online gaming customers for the benefit of their out-of-state operation,” Schippers told GamblingCompliance in an emailed statement.
