Former UK Gambling Minister: DCMS Wary Of Legal Threat

The UK government has already taken careful steps to limit the chances of legal action scuppering a new bill to force online gambling firms doing business in the country to take a licence.

Former UK gambling minister John Penrose told GamblingCompliance that the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) has been careful to only deal with the consumer protection aspects of the new legislation, and left tax to the Treasury.
