The daily fantasy sports (DFS) companies DraftKings and FanDuel reached separate agreements on Tuesday with New York’s attorney general to settle claims of consumer fraud and that they engaged in false and deceptive advertising.
The agreement with the attorney general, Eric Schneiderman, will cost each company $6m, according to settlement agreements released by the attorney general’s office. The settlements will be paid over a four-year period starting on November 24.
