Wynn Resorts has closed its office in Yokohama in the latest blow to the profile and competitiveness of the city’s integrated resort (IR) campaign and Japan’s national casino-resort strategy.
The company said in a statement on Sunday that it remains “interested in the Japan integrated resort market”, but ended its presence on the ground in Yokohama amid pandemic disruption and delays to the application process.
