It has been another interesting year for the daily fantasy sports (DFS) industry, in which the two leading companies called off their merger, FanDuel’s chief executive resigned, and eight states passed laws to regulate the games.
Perhaps the most important event was on December 4 when the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in the New Jersey sports-betting case — Christie v NCAA — which will determine the fate of the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act (PASPA).
