Lawmakers in Washington State have been considering several sports-betting bills since the start of the 2020 legislative session, but they face a hard deadline in terms of passing any legislation and sending it to the governor’s desk for his signature.
With 2020 being a non-budget year in Washington, the legislative session, which began on January 13, ends on March 12. That means lawmakers have until February 7 to pass bills out of committee, followed by a March 6 deadline for the House and Senate to consider any bills, according to a legislative schedule.
