Two of the most influential gambling policy figures in Macau’s modern history have called for the city’s next tender for casino concessions to be postponed until after 2022 and the number of concessions limited to six.
Former Macau Gaming Commission legal affairs head Jorge Oliveira and former government advisor David Green said the coronavirus pandemic has impacted the market to such an extent that there is an unacceptable level of uncertainty and sovereign risk.
