The U.S. sports-betting market would spread to more than 20 states and be worth $2bn in annual gross gaming revenue within roughly five years of the end of a federal ban, according to a new report by GamblingCompliance.
The GamblingCompliance study, "Outlook: U.S. Sports Betting," is the first to map out the likely size and scope of the sports-betting market in the event that the U.S. Supreme Court rules next year to strike down the 1992 federal law that currently limits lawful sports wagering to Nevada and a handful of other states.
