U.S. Senators Schumer And Hatch Introduce Sports-Betting Bill

Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer, a Democrat from New York, has joined retiring Utah Republican Senator Orrin Hatch to introduce federal sports-betting legislation that has received support from several major pro and collegiate sports leagues.

The bill, entitled the Sports Wagering Market Integrity Act of 2018, is largely similar to the discussion draft that was circulated out of Hatch’s office several weeks ago, except adding several provisions that make the bill even more league-friendly than the draft.
