The chief executive of esports-only betting company Unikrn has said his company will continue to offer odds on Rocket League despite its publisher Psyonix voicing concerns about gambling taking place on the game without its specific consent.
Unikrn moved to offer odds on Rocket League in March and it immediately drew a response from Psyonix, whose vice president of publishing Jeremy Dunham said the firm “does not support or endorse” gambling taking place on its game.
Rahul Sood, founder of the Seattle-based and UK-licensed operator, said he understands why Psyonix was keen to distance itself from any gambling taking place around its game, although he added that Unikrn would continue to offer odds.
