Ukraine’s Government Puts Finishing Touches To Casino Bill

A draft bill to re-regulate gambling will be presented to Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers next Monday as the government seeks to get casinos up and running in time for the Euro 2012 soccer tournament.

While many precise details regarding the draft bill are still lacking, Ukraine’s politicians look set to push ahead with gambling legislation which could bring an end to the ban on casinos and slot parlours as early as next January.

Deputy Prime Minister Boris Kolesnikov instructed the State Committee for Regulation and Entrepreneurship earlier this week to finalize its draft bill on gambling and present it to the Cabinet of Ministers by September 20.
