The Football Association (FA) could move to block gambling firms from exploiting media rights to show live footage of FA Cup matches after UK lawmakers expressed concerns that fans could only watch certain games on gambling sites and betting apps.
The third round of the FA Cup, the oldest national football competition in the world, took place between January 4 and 6 and involved 32 matches that were all live-streamed across six bookmakers' websites and gambling apps.
