Under the 2005 Gambling Act, certain gambling industry executives are now required to obtain personal licences on top of their company’s operating licence. Whilst the terms of the Act establish that executives can therefore be held personally responsible if they fail to perform their duties, it also allows those able to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of compliance issues to be afforded less intensive regulatory scrutiny.The 2005 Gambling Act, which came into force on September 1 last year, requires certain gambling industry executives to apply for a Personal Management Licence.
