A panel of executives from some of the UK’s leading gambling firms arrived at the House of Commons yesterday to face a barrage of questions from unfriendly politicians designed to test their responsible gambling credentials.
Led by veteran gambling campaigner and Labour MP Carolyn Harris, the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Gambling-Related Harm convened in the House of Commons on Wednesday for the latest in a series of evidentiary hearings.
The event featured a rare public appearance from John Coates, joint chief executive of Bet365, along with Phil Cronin, CEO and owner of Tombola, and Ian Proctor, the CEO of Sky Betting and Gaming.
