The Gambling Commission has issued new advice on the problematic definition of ‘remote gambling equipment’ under the 2005 Gambling Act. Certain equipment or data storage facilities, if located in Great Britain, require the operator of that equipment to obtain a remote gambling licence from the Gambling Commission but confusion has arisen over how a range of stakeholders, including affiliate and white label partners, would be classified under the Act’s definition.
