UK, Dutch Sessions To Examine Gambling Duty of Care

A UK House of Lords committee and informal UK parliamentary group will this week examine gambling issues including operator duty of care and the industry’s obligations to protect players from gambling harm.

The Lords select committee meeting today will examine the effectiveness of the Gambling Act 2005, as part of its mission to examine the social and economic impact of gambling.

The UK review follows an August 22 Trimbos Institute session on upcoming online gambling licensing in the Netherlands focusing on risks and duty of care for operators.
