The uncharitable characterisation of affiliates as conveyor belts for churn and burn player acquisition undersells the role they can play in responsible gambling, according to one leading UK-based affiliate.
David da Silva, CEO of EasyOdds, said that after a player he has delivered to an operator decides to look for somewhere new to gamble, he expects them to return to his company to find a new deal.
EasyOdds views these customers as its players, belonging to the affiliate more so than any operator, which places it in the position to have a longer term view of a player’s gambling habits than anyone else in the gambling supply chain.
