UK Affiliate Regulation Bears Black-Market Risk, Says Panel

Any possible licensing regime for affiliates in the UK must consider the costs and compliance burden of new rules or risk driving third parties to promote black-market sites, a panel of experts has warned.

If a proposed licensing regime includes “stringent paperwork and a high price tag you will see affiliates drop off quickly", Brean Wilkinson, product advisor at affiliate compliance software firm Rightlander, warned last week at the the Responsible Marketing for Gambling Operators conference.
