The UK advertising watchdog has banned two 32Red online casino adverts for featuring a popular children’s fairytale and failing to specifically target the ad to people over the age of 18.
Both of the banned ads from 32Red, which is part of the Kindred Group, used paid-for Google search marketing featuring the words “Jack and the Beanstalk” in plain text that made reference to sign-up bonuses.
Prior to the Advertising Standards Authority’s (ASA) ruling, 32Red said it had removed the adverts after the operator became aware that people who had not been age-verified could see the game on their site.
The online casino said that it usually hides high-risk games from its list of available titles until a user has been age-verified.
