Twin River Opposes Rhode Island's Expanded Lottery Deal With IGT

The owner of two casinos in Rhode Island is criticizing a no-bid 20-year lottery systems contract with International Game Technology (IGT), saying it will cost the state millions of dollars in lost gambling revenues.

Twin River Worldwide Holdings (TRWH), which operates Twin River Casino Hotel in Lincoln and Tiverton Casino Hotel in Tiverton, took out a full-page advertisement in The Sunday Journal in Providence asserting the proposed contract extension announced late last month has been negotiated in secret since January.
