Top Suncity Official Escapes Injury In Hong Kong Mafia Ambush

An underworld kingpin is suspected of orchestrating a knife attack on Andrew Lo Kai Bong, a top lieutenant of Suncity junket supremo Alvin Chau.

The identity of this mastermind has still not been revealed by Hong Kong police, who are continuing their investigations of the attack which took place last weekend.

Lo, an executive director and chief investment officer of Hong Kong-listed Sun Century Group, was ambushed in the Hong Kong island suburb of North Point soon after returning from the Japan Gaming Congress in Tokyo.

Lo, 37, had left a North Point sauna and was preparing to get in his chauffeured vehicle when two knife-wielding men, variously described as Pakistani or South Asian in Chinese-language reports, attacked him and his 53-year-old driver.
