Lobbying by Pennsylvania casinos to either play up or downplay a potential reversal of a 2011 federal legal opinion on internet gambling has not affected the state legislature’s plans to consider online gaming expansion this year, according to senior lawmakers.
Last month, the Coalition to Stop Internet Gambling (CSIG), an advocacy group funded by Sands Bethlehem owner Las Vegas Sands, sent a legal memo to Pennsylvania lawmakers warning that any legalization of internet gambling could be scotched by the administration of President Donald Trump.
