Thunderbirds Are Go In India

As Thunderbird Resorts gears up to launch what is only the second integrated resort in India, domestic and international casino operators have underlined their growing interest in the rising Asian giant.

The first rooms in Thunderbird’s hotel in the Daman region are set to open this week, followed by a soft launch in the following three months of up to 400 slot machines and 25 table games, the only casino operations currently licensed in Daman.

Bombay-listed gaming and real estate company Delta Corp also claims it has an in-principle casino licence in Daman, and aims to open three new onshore casinos across India this financial year.
