Stars Hunts For Media Tie-Up To Propel US Expansion

Online gambling giant The Stars Group is keeping a low profile in the United States, the “most exciting” world gambling market, while it looks for a high-profile media partner, executives said on Wednesday.

The Toronto-based company is looking for a US media partner to help it grow in the way its newest acquisition, Sky Betting & Gaming, grew through its former link with Sky, the UK-based satellite broadcaster, said chief executive Rafi Ashkenazi.

The Stars’ third-quarter revenue rose 74 percent over the period a year earlier to $572m, helped by Sky Bet and Australian acquisitions, it said.
