At every gaming conference over the past two years there have been ongoing discussions about how casinos can reach the next generation of gamblers — and this year’s East Coast Gaming Congress in Atlantic City was no exception.
Casino industry executives who attended the two-day conference last week at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City agreed that millennials, the social media- and mobile-savvy generation born roughly between 1980 and 2000, have very little interest in traditional slot machines.
However, several veteran casino executives believe that millennials will eventually gamble, and there are traditional and new ways to reach this key target demographic.
