After a quiet summer in Ohio, sports betting has returned to the legislative stage as the House Finance Committee resumed hearings on a bill that would allow online and land-based betting under the purview of the Ohio Lottery Commission.
House Bill 194 was amended during its fifth hearing before the committee on Tuesday, adding clarifying language to specify that the lottery commission can adopt regulations to allow mobile betting in the state.
