Spain's minister of consumer affairs has said he is considering following in the UK’s footstep by banning the use of credit cards in both online and land-based venues.
Consumer affairs minister Alberto Garzón, a member of the United Left Party, only assumed his ministerial role on January 13.
However, he has already pledged to visit various consumer groups, gambling firms and problem gambling prevention groups to discuss the implications of a potential credit card ban.
