Figures from the Gambling Commission suggest that 12 percent of children in the UK are spending their own money on gambling every week, as fears about new forms of online wagering begin to bite.
The commission’s yearly survey of young people and their gambling habits, which was published on Tuesday, showed a fall in the participation of 11-16 year olds by 4 percent since 2016, but also marked the first year the regulator asked questions about skins gambling.
