Skill Games Licences Debut In Malta

Malta confirmed on Monday that its skill games regulations have come into effect after a period of public consultation, announcing it had awarded its first licences.
DraftKings has become the first major skill-based gaming operator to agree to be regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) since the country brought new Skill Games Regulations into force.
Manuel Mallia, the minister for competitiveness and digital services, said that the government’s "pioneering legal framework" offered protection to consumers and legal clarity and that further gaming legislation was being drafted.
