This month’s decision by the Seminole Tribe to stop paying Florida for exclusive gaming rights follows a similar halt in New York by the Seneca Nation, and raises questions about whether more tribes in other states may go down the same path.
On May 14, the Seminole Tribe announced they would no longer pay Florida $350m a year for exclusive rights to operate blackjack and other casino games in the Sunshine State.
