France’s new all-encompassing gambling regulator has officially opened its doors, but dreams the country might be about to lift the ban on online casinos seem certain to be dashed.
Members of the ANJ met for the first time on Monday, under the aegis of the authority’s president, Isabelle Falque-Pierrotin.
The new body absorbs the responsibilities of the now-defunct ARJEL, describing itself as having "significantly extended regulatory scope and enhanced powers".
