UK gambling accounts on Twitter, especially those related to esports betting, have thousands of children interacting with their tweets and take little to no care for responsible advertising, according to a new report funded by charity GambleAware.
According to the latest findings in an ongoing report by the University of Bristol, children account for 6 percent of followers of Twitter accounts related to traditional gambling and 17 percent of esports gambling-focused Twitter accounts.
But when it comes to active engagement, that figure rises dramatically.
