Puerto Rico’s Legislative Assembly has given final approval to a bill creating a new gaming commission and allowing a broad rollout of land-based and online sports betting.
Bill C.2038 was passed late Sunday night as members of Puerto Rico’s Chamber of Representatives and Senate reconciled the differences between alternative versions of the bill that were approved earlier last week, before bringing the consensus measure up for votes in the final minutes before the legislature adjourned for its summer recess.
