While recently-launched online offerings helped to lift Pennsylvania sportsbook handle past the $100m mark in August, liberal use of free bet promotions has meant that the mobile segment has to date retained just 2.5 percent of amounts wagered in net revenue.
New figures released this week showed that the emerging Pennsylvania market grew sports-betting handle by 84 percent sequentially to $109m in August, becoming just the third U.S. state after Nevada and New Jersey to pass $100m in betting volumes in a given month.
