Poland’s Lottery Monopoly Will Launch Slot Halls This Year

National lottery operator Totalizator Sportowy will launch its first slot halls in the fourth quarter of 2017, according to a government minister, who also revealed details of new player monitoring regulations and a timeline for the monopoly operator’s planned online casino.

Jadwiga Emilewicz, the deputy minister of economic development, said in a statement that “negotiations with the suppliers [of slots] are being finalised, and the locations of pilot halls are under preparation”.

As a result, the first state-owned facilities are expected to begin their operations “in the fourth quarter of 2017”.
