Melbourne-based corporate bookmaker PointsBet Holdings has listed on the Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) after raising a targeted A$75m ($52m) in an initial public offering (IPO) that highlighted North American expansion.
PointsBet, which operates in New Jersey and has signed deals for four other US states and Mexico, began trading on Wednesday after an IPO that offered 37.5m shares at $2 each.
PointsBet shares closed at A$2.24 on Wednesday and surged to $2.37 in early trading today before closing at A$2.23, or a 0.4 percent decline. The company's market capitalisation stands at A$245m.
