Personal Licence Applications Required By The 2005 Gambling Act

The Gambling Commission proposes to reduce the licensing burden on the industry by allowing employees holding certificates of approval under the 1968 Act to continue in their current jobs without having to re-apply for Personal Management or Functional Licences for up to three years.

Under the 1968 Gaming Act, executives, managers and employees working in the gambling industry holding specific functional responsibilities were required to hold personal certificates of approval (the white, grey and pink certificates).
