By September, Pennsylvania should become the fourth state to legalize internet gambling despite a lengthy and complicated budget process which resumes on Wednesday when the state Senate goes back into session.
Pennsylvania Senate leaders hope to gain approval this week for a revenue package which would pay for the new budget approved by the state legislature on June 30.
If the Senate approves the revenue package, which would include upfront licensing fees and taxes associated with internet gambling, and then reach a deal with the House and Governor Tom Wolf, the budget process could be completed in September, sources said.
