The first year of online lottery operations in Pennsylvania resulted in more than 8 percent of the state’s total lottery sales coming via interactive instant games, a higher percentage of online sales than all but one other state.
Included in a record $4.5bn in total sales for the Pennsylvania Lottery in the 2018-19 fiscal year was a number of great interest to the state’s casinos: $381m in sales for the first full year of the state’s iLottery program.
The Keystone State’s comprehensive 2017 gaming expansion bill permitted the lottery to begin offering iLottery, but stipulated the lottery could not offer “casino-style lottery games.”
