This week’s blockbuster announcement about four companies agreeing to operate as Penn National Gaming “skins” in different states could be just the prelude to a landmark online sports-betting partnership between Penn and a major media company, according to its CEO.
When asked how soon the partnership might be announced, Penn National president and CEO Tim Wilmott said Thursday, “I hope by year end.”
“We are talking with a large number of media companies about a potential partnership affiliation,” Wilmott said in an exclusive interview with GamblingCompliance.
“We’re talking with a number of other players as well,” he said.
The partnership is part of Penn’s “primary strategy,” according to Wilmott.
