New entrants to the uber-competitive New Jersey internet casino market will help grow that market in revenue terms, but partly at the expense of existing online operators, industry analysts and executives told GamblingCompliance this week.
Earlier this month, MGM Resorts launched a PlayMGM-branded internet casino in New Jersey under the Borgata’s web gambling license. MGM acquired the Borgata, the top-performing casino in Atlantic City, from Boyd Gaming last year.
In late July, meanwhile, Scores, an adult night club business with locations throughout the country, including nearby New York, went live with an online casino in partnership with Pala Interactive, which also operates under the Borgata’s internet gambling license.
