Overlooked Sports-Betting Case Could Unseal Records Of U.S. Leagues

Although it has received little attention so far, another sports-betting case could prove to be almost as vexing for the nation’s sports leagues as the historic U.S. Supreme Court decision in May 2018 that permits states to legalize and regulate wagers on games.

The leagues could be forced to disclose sealed records including highly confidential and proprietary business information if a ruling in September by the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia is allowed to stand.
