Operators Push Tennessee Lottery To Drop Sports-Betting Hold Restriction

A host of major gaming operators have urged the Tennessee Lottery to amend, or drop altogether, a provision in its draft regulations that would require sportsbooks to hold at least 15 percent of betting handle.

With final regulations up for consideration as soon as next week, a recent public consultation on initial draft rules released in November saw a wide variety of commenters, including gaming interests, professional sports leagues and even social media powerhouse Facebook, seeking significant changes or clarifications.
